Katelyn Cassin

Sessional Professor, University of Ottawa

Katelyn Cassin, Ph.D. is a Sessional Professor for the School of International Development and Global Studies at the University of Ottawa, teaching on global citizenship and cosmopolitanism, the security-development nexus and humanitarian action. She recently concluded a postdoctoral fellowship with the Peacebuilding and Local Knowledge Network (PLKN), exploring local knowledge acquisition and filtering practices by international peacebuilding organizations. Her research and writing focus on cultural and relational peacebuilding, UN peacekeeping, interlocutors, everyday peace and local ordering, south Lebanon, and the shifting global order.
