Dr. Yannick Veilleux Lepage
Assistant Professor, Royal Military College
Yannick Veilleux-Lepage is an Assistant Professor at the Royal Military College of Canada, specializing in technology's role in far-right extremism and terrorist tactics.Before his current role, he was an Assistant Professor at Leiden University in the Netherlands and an intelligence analyst for the Government of Canada, offering expertise on international terrorism and emerging threats. He also managed Department of Defense-funded research at Georgia State University.
He earned his Ph.D. in International Relations from the University of St Andrews, where his dissertation materialized into his first book "How Terror Evolves." He is currently in the final stages of completing his second book "Uniformed Threats" which focused on confronting right-wing extremism within NATO member-state militaries, identifying lacunae in existing regulatory frameworks. Dr. Veilleux-Lepage serves on multiple editorial boards and is affiliated with several research institutions such as the International Centre for Counter-Terrorism – The Hague and the Royal Historical Society. His insights have been featured in media outlets including BBC and CNN, focusing on emerging threats like 3D-printed firearms and commercial drones in terrorism.
